“Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by how we react to what happens; not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst… a spark that creates extraordinary results”.

Communication, organization and honesty with players is extremely important at Fury Soccer. Players need to know where they stand, how they can improve and following the plan in place to improve.  We believe you will get extraordinary performances from players when you have extraordinary expectations. Creating a professional training environment is critical and it enables players to love their job and be hungry to spend extra time on their trade.

Our humble, hungry and smart approach to football is something we strive to bring to all the teams at FC FURY.  Too many clubs put results ahead of process but we truly believe that results come because of the process.  Wisdom comes from learning and improving in wake of mistakes. We are all a work in progress, we don’t have to be perfect, don’t have all the answers, and don’t have it all together but we think it’s important all coaches and players whether young or not believe that everyone has something to teach, everyday we have something to learn and every time we learn something we benefit.

Through patience, resilience and perseverance we can mould our teams and offer individual players an opportunity to challenge the status quo and improve their performance.  Our philosophy embraces the importance in the mentality and mindset of players and teams. Our coaches at  FC FURY do not worry about outcome but focus on moments. We think it’s important to avoid blame and focus on solution, while showing a sense of humor at all times.

We want our teams to be open, honest, sincere in a positive environment where we speak about the journey, inclusivity, learning, crediting, nurturing, and listening.

We want our players to embrace a growth mindset and seek to challenge and stretch themselves every session, every week, every match and every season.   The steps in players development are dictated by players.  Our job as coaches is to support, guide and give players a plan to progress. It’s up to players to push through their comfort zone.  It’s important for young players that they don’t carry mistakes around.  Our message to each player is to place mistakes under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above.

The process of becoming great is rewarding for players.  Mental strength plays a massive part of become great and it includes a will to win while some others play not to lose.  We want our players to play to make plays and not play fearing making a mistakes.  A mentality of playing not to lose is about merely surviving while playing to win is about thriving. You can’t expect players to have a growth mindset and get out of their comfort zone if you are not willing to do it as a coach. As a coaching staff we strive to be flexible, honest and creative. Also we value the trust, belief and fearlessness of our teams to carry out the game plan to the best of their abilities.

At FC FURY we understand you must know who you are individually and use your strengths to the teams advantage.  It is a belief that we can do it better than it’s ever been done before.

The joy of any season, any team, and any club is in the journey itself, however long or difficult.   “It is our attitude, not circumstance, that makes success possible in even the most challenging situations.  Some players want it to happen, other players wish it would happen, Fury players will make it happen.” – Paul Riley
